To short for 32” monitor

I have several Vivo monitor mounts an they are all solid - not great, but gets the job done. I wanted something that can adjust up and down, so ordered one of these. No way can a 32” monitor fit at eye level! Maybe tilted upwards so you are looking down at the screen, but not from a normal eye level position. The max height to the center of the VESA mount is approx 12” which would leave my 32” monitor just 3” off the table. I am 5’ 8” and for a standard desk height of 30”, it needs to be 7 to 7.5” off the top of desk.Come to think of it, given that VESA mounts are typically centered, a smaller monitor might need to be even higher! So this mount seems way too short for any standard viewing position.

Totally Adjustable!

Unlike other pneumatic stands that require clamp ons, this one doesn't and has great adjustable features. With a clip on pneumatic stand, the monitor could not be set low enough to be properly ergonomically adjusted. This arm allows the monitor to be raised, or lowered all the way to desk level! It can be adjusted forward or backward, with tilt and swivel as well. The stand is heavy and solid with thin feet on the bottom to prevent moving and scratching. However, the base is heavy and has sharp edges, so it could scratch your desk top if you move the stand. If you have a wood desk that has a finish on it, or a desk that can easily be scratched, I recommend placing a cloth under the stand. There are many inexpensive microfiber dusting cloths you can buy. Simply form the cloth to the shape of the bottom of the base, but slightly smaller. This will prevent the cloth from being seen around the edges of the base, so it's not even noticeable. The cloth will not only protect your desk top from scratches or marks left by the foot pads, but also allows the stand to be moved around your desk without having to lift it. For example, if you want to easily turn your monitor around for cables, move it to a different position, or while cleaning your desk.
